How come I can't join any Battlefield 2142 servers that are running Northern Strike?

I just fixed a previous problem regarding my account info, and I have the original and the booster pack installed, with all patches (up to 1.5). I try to join a BF2142 NS server, but after loading all info, the server kicks me out, and says that my version is modified and i need to revert to an original version. All help is appreciated.How come I can't join any Battlefield 2142 servers that are running Northern Strike?
This is due to a problem with the 1.50 full patch.

You will also find that when you go into BFHQ and click on a few medals/ribbons/badges you will crash to desktop.



The BFHQ crash can't be fixed without re-installing the whole game.

The modified content error can be fixed the same way, but can also be fixed a little more easily by changing the version in the registry to 1.10 and then installing the 1.50 full patch again.



To go into registry and change the version, click the windows start button, then click run, type regedit, then click ok.

For 32bit Windows it's under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2142

For 64bit Windows it's under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\鈥?Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2142

Right click on Version, select Modify, change to 1.10 and then close the registry. Then install the 1.50 full patch.



To fix both issues;

1. Uninstall BF2142, manually if necessary: http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php鈥?/a>

2. Install BF2142

Skip to step 6 if you have the deluxe edition

3. Patch with 1.40 http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches鈥?/a>

4. Install the Northern Strike Booster (C:ProgramDATA\Electronic Arts\EADM\cache\{blurb}\bf2142_bp1)

5. Patch with 1.40 again
