Hi guys, i just bought Battlefield 2 today and i installed it and everything. I can join server's from many other country's but i cant join server's in my country. I try putting in many ip's for GameArena server and Internode and still didnt work. I also tryed connecting using Xfire and still nothing. when i installed the game i did select Australia. Does anyone know what the problem is?Cant join battlefield 2 server in my country?
Are you sure the servers you are trying to join are the same version you are using? Have you downloaded all the patches to the game? If the server is a different version than you currently have installed it wont let you in. Make sure you have the correct version for the server you want. The most current version or patch is 1.4. Maybe that will help.
I would make sure the version you have is the same as the one they are running. I can't think of any other reason that it would let you in to some servers and not others.
It could be many things.

Download the EA - 1.41 Full Patch It gives several options to download them just macke sure you picvk the 1.4 FULL patch. It will bring you up to date.
Also, make sure you are joining servers with the RED 2 for Battlefield 2 , if it has a green 2 in the server list off to the left, it is the expansion pack for BF2 Special Forces. There are other expansions too with different color 2's on them for road Euro Force etc. But the red 2 is for the vanilla version of BF2
