WHY CAN'T I CREATE A SERVER IN BATTLEFIELD 1942?

I am trying to create a server in battlefield 1942 but they dont appear in the game's server list. I tried many times but my server wont appear in the server list?

What could be the reason for this?

Your firewall or router may be blocking the server from being seen.

See if your friends can add your server manually, I seem to remember there is an add server button, then just put in your ip:port

Or you can create your own shortcut:

Make a shortcut from your battlefield1942.exe on your desktop. Right click, properties. In the 'target box' add this:



"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +restart 1 +joinServer 192.168.0.1:14567



Make sure to change the IP address, from the example, to the one you want to connect to. 14567 is the default port number and does not need to be changed unless that server uses a different port.WHY CAN'T I CREATE A SERVER IN BATTLEFIELD 1942?
When you make a server under create server make sure you click on create Internet, not local, also close all other programs you are running.
