Battlefield 3 how many people in a server (ps3)?

Ok so I heard that it's going to be 24 but ps3 can and will take more but xbox can't so Microsoft has a contract that states the games can not be modified other than the button layout. So will Microsoft drag Dow Sony in terms of people on a battlefield 3 server ?Battlefield 3 how many people in a server (ps3)?
Yes there has been alot of protest by ps3 gamers who say that ps3 consoles have the power to handle up to 36 players unfortunetly EA has capped the ps3 to a 24 max just like the xboxBattlefield 3 how many people in a server (ps3)?
Actually PS3 and Xbox 360 are basically the same console. The PS3 has a little bit more proccesser power but its basically an Xbox. So the reason they capped it at 24 is not because to make it equal. It's because it can only handle 24 people.
