I just got battlefield 2 complete, and I was wondering if you absolutley need to have a sever to play multiplayer. is there any other options(free,legal, and easy) to play multiplayer? If not, is there any way to unlock all of the weapons w/ out doing multiplayerDo you really need a server to to play multiplayer in battlefield 2?
You don't need a server, you need to play on a server, and that costs nothing.
To rank up and unlock weapons etc, you need to play online on a ranked server, to do this your game needs to be up to date. You either have to install patch 1.41 AND 1.50 or just 1.50, not sure what version you have at the moment. You will also probably need to update Punkbuster and play the game as windows administrator. Your other options are to play multiplayer on a LAN or old server, or just singleplayer.
