i have used dedicated servers before too like COUNTER STRIKE 1.6 and Half Life HL2DM..
so i know pretty much about port forwarding!
i have my firewall disabled and theres no other program/software which would prevent inbound connections...
So, i installed the Battlefield 2 and launched the dedicated server on port 27002 (i checked the port and it was open). i logged in the game and clicked on multiplayer and then clicked on join internet.
i could see the name of my server but when i clicked on it, it bumped me with error "CANNOT CONNECT TO SERVER, CHECK NETWORK CONNECTION(S)"...
i could see the same server in JOIN LAN tab too and i could connect through that.there
i also tried "CONNECT TO IP" option in which i had the option to directly enter the IP ADDRESS ad PORT number, i used external ip 122.168.x.x but i got the same error!
I looked up over internet and found people facing the same problem had ungraded their version from 1.0 to 1.41 and so i also upgraded my verion to 1.41 but the problem still persisted!
then after i upgraded to 1.50 and i also updated my DEDICATED SERVER file to 1.50
now, when i'm in the game, i click on MULTIPLAYER, i see only my server and when i click on it to connect!
a box pops up saying "JOINING SERVER" and then it disapears and back to server selection page, right where i was! no error nothing!
please help me out! tell me what to do.. i have updated the game and server file both!
i used no cd crack file to exec the game!Battlefield 2 1.50 cannot connect to server with no error.. please help?
You should see plenty of servers in multiplayer, maybe you installed a beta patch.
